How it works
The product is easier to understand when you separate Bsky proper from the wider ATProto ecosystem.
SecretSkies does not force an edit into Bsky proper. It updates the post record underneath, then compatible community views can decide to show that edited version.
Not every app reads posts the same way. Some surfaces are conservative and keep the original. Others may use the updated record. That difference is exactly where SecretSkies can be useful.
A community may want to support corrections, clarifications, typo fixes, updated links, or local norms without waiting for Bsky proper to add a universal edit feature.
